In-Line Currency Conversion Technology

Price your whole catalog in your customer's local currency -- automatically!

Export-minded manufacturers and distributors can license our in-line conversion technology to translate prices on their website into a customer's local currency at current rates, either as a firm quote or as an indication. This capability, available in our fx software systems since the 1980's -- long before the Web -- will help you increase your export sales, whether you offer thousands or just a few products.

Here's how it works: When your customer logs on to your website, your server sends us the applicable local currency preference (from a customer profile or an on-screen selection). Our server returns the current exchange rate, based on our realtime fx datafeed. All product prices from your database will automatically be displayed in the applicable local currency at the then-current rate. (Your home-currency prices are also displayed.) You can decide whether translated prices are firm or merely for the customer's information. If firm, translated prices can be increased by a percentage you specify to cover additional risk. Shipping charges can be added, too. The idea is that the additional fx risk is more than compensated by the profit on your increased sales.

Implementation is straightforward. We will provide you with the required routines for requesting current rates and translating product prices, with instructions and secure server access. We invite you to talk with us about your needs.
